On Thursday, December 1, prof. Phoebe Koundouri gave a speech at the Sixth Economist Sustainability Summit for South-East Europe and the Mediterranean: “Redefining sustainability in an unsustainable world” at the panel Financing the Green Transition.
The panel discussion, chaired by John Andrews, Consultant editor, The Economist, focused on:
- Green finance in a turbulent global environment
- Sustainable Financing: Opportunities and Challenges
- An outlook for 2023 and beyond
- Climate change and G20: OECD principles of corporate governance
Prof. Koundouri talked about the need for capacity building for companies, financial institutions and the government sector, for the implementation of the legal requirements related to Sustainable Finance.
