Sustainable Development Unit – ATHENA RC, leading WP2, focuses on modeling and promoting behavior change around food aligning with IPCC goals. Professor Dr. Phoebe Koundouri, Principal Investigator for ATHENA RC, and Dr. Conrad Landis presented the main objectives of WP2 during the kick-off meeting:
- Establish a framework for mapping the socio-economic profiles of stakeholders across the food consumption and supply chain, specifically related to CHOICE pilot demonstrations. This ensures broad geographic and societal representation.
- Model behavioral change options within the Supply and Demand chain.
- Identify the combination of interventions and conversion goals that align with each mitigation measure and local specificities for CHOICE pilots.
- Develop and execute randomized control experiments to assess and optimize messages, designs, and interventions.
