ICRE8 Scientific Director Prof. Phoebe Koundouri (ICRE8, AUEB, LSE) gave a speech at the Climate Change and Coastal Adaptation Day in Bologna (4/20/2015). The purpose of the event was to boost a participatory roadmap for climate-smart development of coastal areas, in the spirit of the overall aim of the EU Adaptation Strategy (2013) that “is to contribute to a more climate-resilient Europe”.
The work-shop brought together scientists, public authorities and coastal managers, private consultants and constructors to present the key challenges induced by climate change. The day was organised by the University of Bologna and supported by the Climate-KIC through ASTER.
