Prof. Phoebe Koundouri is the new EJWP Programme Ambassador. The European Junior Water Programme (EJWP) is the flagship programme and official trade name of H20-people. Registred in 2015, H20-people became active in the public sphere with EJWP, which is its largest initiative in action to date. The H2O-people mission is to enable personal & professional growth through unique programmes aimed at connection of talent to realize potential through all career phases.
Prof. Koundouri delivered a masterclass on the Nexus of climate change and challenges in technological innovation, during the EJWP Training Week in October.
“A huge socio-economic transformation is needed for the transition to a sustainable development pathway. The mobilizer of the transition is the unprecedent pace of technological advancement that makes green and digital technologies cost efficient for massive deployment. However, without the up-skilling and re-skilling of the labor force, the technology cannot be adopted. EJWP is crucial because its participants are focusing on water industry-related knowledge transfer and personal/professional skills development in international teams. I’m honored to be an EJWP Ambassador.”
