Dr. Arief Anshory Yusuf is a senior lecturer and researcher at the Department of Economics, Padjadjaran University. He has been a researcher at CEDS since 1998. Dr. Yusuf earned his bachelor degree in economics and development studies from Padjadjaran University, Indonesia (1997), a masters degree in environmental and resource economics from University College London, United Kingdom (2002), and a Ph.D in economics from The Australian National University, Australia (2008). Dr. Yusuf’s research interest is in the area of environmental and resource economics, poverty and inequality, development economics, and economy-wide modeling. His recent research topics includes the effect of cash transfers and the jobless growth in Indonesian manufacturing sector and its implications on poverty. Dr. Yusuf is currently the Director of Center for Economics and Development Studies, Padjadjaran University; Adjunct Fellow of The Australian National University, Australia; and Secretary General of Indonesian Regional Science Association (IRSA).
