Mr Dimitris Karavellas has been the director of the WWF Hellas since January 1998. He studied hydrobiology and fisheries management. He has been associated with WWF since 1993, where he was the coordinator of a project for the protection of the Mediterranean seal in Zante for two years. He then worked with WWF International and assumed the position of the director of the International Mediterranean Fisheries Campaign.
