Louka Katseli has been a member of Hellenic Parliament since 2007. He formerly served as Minister of Economy, Competitiveness and Shipping (Oct 2009 – Sept 2010) and Minister for Labour and Social Security of the Hellenic Republic (Sept 2010 – June 2011). She has held positions in many international committees including as Member, Rapporteur and Vice Chair of the United Nations Committee for Development Policy (1996 – 2003), Member of the Euro 50 Group , Member of the “Comité des Sages“, European Commission, DG V(1995 – 1997), Member of the EC Monetary Committee (1983 – 1985), Member of the EC Economic Policy Committee (1982 – 1984). Has published extensively in international and Greek academic journals in international trade and finance, economic development and labour migration.
