Chrysovalantou Milliou is a Professor (elected) of Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business. She is also a Research Fellow at the CESifo (Munich). She has been a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Economics of Columbia University (Spring 2019) and a Visiting Researcher at the Toulouse School of Economics (Fall 2019). She was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2003 – 07).
She has served as an Alternate Member of the Greek Competition Committe (2012 – 17). She has worked on various research projects funded by the European Commission, the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science, and various Greek public authorities. She has delivered training programs for policy authorities and judges on competition policy issues. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute (Florence) under the supervision of Massimo Motta, after completing her Master’s degree in Economics at Tufts University (MA, USA). She specializes in Industrial Organization, Economics of Competition Policy, Microeconomic Theory and Policy, with emphasis in the analysis of vertically related markets. She has published numerous articles in international peer refereed journals, such as the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, Canadian Journal of Economics, Economics Letters.
