OECD’s Environmental Impact Assessment, Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy

On June 27th 2019 the OECD reviewing team attended closed consultation meetings with Greek stakeholders, in the context of the Environmental Performance Review of Greece. The scope of the review accounted for the timeframe since 2009. Assessment and recommendations, differentiated into two parts, were expressed: assessment on the progress towards sustainable development and assessment on the progress towards selected environmental objectives. The meetings followed a fixed program divided into three timelines. The morning activities consisted of closed meetings and debriefing with the Hellenic authorities and consultations with industries, unions, environmental NGOs, independent experts and Academia. Α brief lunch break was called for, followed by the evening activities, including closed sessions and consultations with representatives from local authorities.
