The UNSSC Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development is looking for two (2) Associate Fellows and a Course Assistant.

1. Associate Fellow 002/2017 (E-Learning on Sustainable Development)
- Assist in the design and development of UNSSC e-learning courses;
- Design and development of web-based and multimedia content for e-learning;
- Publish and update content on UNSSC learning platforms (Moodle and Claned)
- Support the administration and management of UNSSC learning platforms (Moodle and Claned);
- Support the organization of webinars, meetings, podcasts, etc.;
- Monitors online courses and help solve any technical problems that participants may encounter;
- Support the creation of training solutions that may be delivered in a variety of formats: virtual classroom training, online self-paced courses, and mobile learning;
- Assist the Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development in its activities, by performing other related duties as required.

2. Associate Fellow 003/2017 (Leading in Sustainable Development)
- Assist in the development and delivery of two courses on Leading in Sustainable Development in April and October, including through the development of different learning formats and instructional design;
- Design and develop knowledge and communication products related to SD courses and learning offers;
- Carry out research and develop case studies in the subject matter area as required;
- Publish and update related content on UNSSC learning platforms (Moodle and Claned)
- Support the administration and management of the courses, including the outreach to and engagement with partner institutions and participants;
- Support the organization of webinars and network building activities before and after the courses;
- Support the development of online training modalities that support the face-to-face delivery of related learning offers;
- Assist the Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development in its activities, by performing other related duties as required.

3. Course Assistant
1. Assistance to training and learning activities:
- Assist in making arrangements for workshops, roundtables and meetings, including issuance of invitations, preparation of attendance lists and agenda, correspondence with participants and any follow-up action;
- Provide general support services at workshops, training courses (online and face-to-face) and meetings, including assisting in the preparation of background material and documentation, registration and communication with participants before, during and after (where needed) the activities, booking of hotel, rental and setting-up of training rooms and technical equipment;
- Coordinate and assist coffee breaks preparations; liaise with internal services for security and IT; arrange transportation service and hospitality arrangements.
- Assist in liaising with vendors and service providers, including searching and negotiating best rates with hotels, restaurants, catering, suppliers, etc.;
- Assist in arranging travel for UNSSC staff, consultants and workshop participants and other related actions, ensuring that visas, DSA, medical and security clearance are obtained on time;
- Assist in the preparation of workshop budget, forecasts and financial follow-up of training activities;
- Inform and remind responsible staff of follow-up dates and deadlines for response or specific actions; compiles, format and distributes documents.
- Assist UNSSC Staff in organizing official missions;
- Input, maintain and update course related data in UNSSC Learning Management System (UNKampus) and programme database;
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration by providing direct support to organizing and delivering courses/knowledge management events for other teams.
2. Support UNSSC information management tools:
- Analyse and file electronically all incoming correspondence; maintain the office filing system for the training activities and ad-hoc projects in both hard copies and electronically;
- Keep track of consultants, contracts, payments and assist in the preparation of related documents;
- Receive, record and identify subject matter of incoming correspondence, attaching background materials, taking action on routing correspondence;
- Note and transcribe correspondence, memoranda, briefs and facsimile;
- Ensure accurate uploading and filing of e-learning materials into UNSSC Learning Management System (UNKampus);
- Keep the calendar of activities updated;
- Operate Survey-Monkey for pre and post-workshop Learning Needs Assessment (LNA);
- Organize phone and video conferences as requested;
- Perform other duties, upon request and as assigned.
3. Perform any other job related activity required.
