Dr. Jyotsna (Jo) Puri, Adjunct Associate Professor of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs(SIPA) and Head of the Independent Evaluation Office of the Green Climate Fund, gave a lecture at Grypario Megaron, Athens, on Friday March 16th 2018. The lecture entitled “Evaluating Sustainable Development Projects and Programs” was organized by the Athens Development and Governance Institute (ADGI-INERPOST) and the Greek Sustainable Development Solutions Economic Growth of Insiders and Outsiders of a Climate Network (SDSN Greece).

Dr Jyotsna Puri (Jo) is the Head of GCF’s Independent Evaluation Unit. She has more than 20 years of experience in evaluation research in agriculture, environment, health and infrastructure related poverty alleviation policies. She is a well-recognized leader in using qualitative and quantitative methods in evaluation. Jo has worked in a variety of multilateral agencies such as the World Bank, UNDP, and UNEP. Before joining GCF she was Deputy Executive Director and Head of Evaluation at the International Initiative of Impact Evaluation (3ie). She is also Adjunct Associate Professor, School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), Columbia University, USA. Jo holds a Master degree in development economics, and an MSc, as well as a PhD in Agriculture and Resource Economics. She has published widely on methods to assess environmental programmes.
