Georgia Papageorgiou is an economist with a strong academic background in International Economics and Finance, holding both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from the Athens University of Economics and Business. For the past decade, she has contributed to academic excellence as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of International and European Economic Studies, supporting courses in Microeconomics, Mathematics, and Econometrics across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. She also brings leadership experience from the telecommunications sector, where she spent five years as a team leader and trainer, developing competencies in staff coordination, training, and process optimization within a dynamic corporate environment. She is currently part of the research and innovation team at AE4RIA and ReSEES Laboratory, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), serving as a Proposals Coordinator and researcher. In this role, she contributes to the design and development of European and international proposals and projects focused on sustainable development, climate resilience, and economic transformation. Her work involves coordinating interdisciplinary teams, aligning stakeholder interests, and ensuring strategic coherence in competitive funding proposals. She is passionate about applying economic insights to real-world challenges and advancing impactful initiatives at the intersection of policy, sustainability, and innovation, while actively seeking opportunities for meaningful collaboration.
