European Climate Pact

The European Climate Pact is an initiative of the European Commission that brings together citizens, communities, institutions, and organisations to support the goals of the European Green Deal and Europe’s transition towards climate neutrality by 2050.

The Pact is an open and inclusive movement that aims to raise awareness, share knowledge, and inspire collective climate action. It provides a European platform for individuals and organisations to connect, collaborate, and co-create practical solutions for a more sustainable, resilient, and climate-neutral future.

The Sustainable Development Unit SDU.AE4RIA at the Athena Research Center is an official partner of the European Climate Pact, while Professor Phoebe Koundouri serves as an EU Climate Pact Ambassador, contributing to the Pact’s mission of mobilising science, policy, business, and society around climate action.
