From September 20th to 22nd, Professor Koundouri participated as an elected member of the Academia Europaea, at the Academia Europaea’s Task Force on Environment, Sustainability and Climate (TFESC) workshop in Cambridge. The primary objective of this gathering was to explore innovative strategies and approaches to advance Healthy Food and Sustainable Agriculture in Europe, while maintaining a global perspective.
The workshop’s overarching goals can be summarized in two key aspects:
- The TFESC’s work is founded on the belief that the collective expertise and diverse disciplinary backgrounds within the Academia Europaea uniquely position its members to generate pioneering and pertinent contributions in the fields of environment, sustainability, and climate. This workshop served as a crucial “proof of concept” for this endeavor.
- The output of the workshop, developed collaboratively during its duration, is envisioned to provide valuable and distinctive insights at the intersections of Science-Policy and Science-Public interfaces.
