This Call to Action on Skilling to Achieve the Tripling Renewables Target outlines six key priority areas to accelerate skills development and enable a renewable energy- based transition, supporting the goal of tripling global renewable energy capacity by 2030.

  • Embed in National Plans: Integrate skills development into climate strategies, including NDCs.
  • Foster Partnerships: Promote collaboration between governments, industry, and education providers.
  • Set Standards: Harmonize global qualifications and certifications for workforce mobility.
  • Enhance Education: Integrate renewable energy skills into curricula and build educator capacity.
  • Promote Inclusion: Ensure underrepresented groups, like women and youth, have access to training.
