COP29 Panel: “Oceans in Crisis – Impacts and Responses”

The panel discussion “Oceans in Crisis – Impacts and Responses” was held to address the urgent crisis facing global ocean ecosystems. The session focused on the need for innovative, non-traditional solutions to tackle the escalating challenges confronting the ocean. Panelists examined a variety of approaches, including the Loss and Damage Fund, new technological innovations, social initiatives, and policy interventions aimed at protecting ocean health and supporting vulnerable communities.

During the session, key conclusions and actionable recommendations from the RACC16 statement, presented at the Regional Action on Climate Change Symposium (part of STS Forum).
