On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the European Climate Pact’s annual event took place in Brussels, bringing together climate activists, policymakers, and organizations to exchange ideas, explore innovative approaches, and strengthen societal action. The event provided a platform for collaboration, inspiration, and meaningful discussions to drive the transition toward a climate-neutral and resilient Europe.
Our team was represented by Dr. Ioannis Arampatzidis, who participated as a panelist in the session “Mobilizing Communities for Climate Adaptation: From Engagement to Impact” and presented our Climate Impetus project—an H2020-funded initiative focused on a dynamic information management approach for implementing climate-resilient adaptation strategies in European regions.
Our team at RESEES, the Research Laboratory at AUEB (Athens University of Economics and Business), led by Prof. Dr. Phoebe Koundouri as the Principal Investigator, is proud to be a partner in this vital project. We are spearheading the development of innovative financial instruments and insurance schemes aimed at enhancing climate resilience. This includes designing strategies to enable rapid and far-reaching changes by implementing novel financing mechanisms and policy instruments.
