First testing and focus group session for the ARSINOE VR educational experience – ATHENA RC

On Monday, June 17, the ARSINOE_EU Athena Research Center team, in collaboration with ELIAMEP (Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy), held the first testing and focus group session for the ARSINOE VR educational experience. The project is developing a VR tool for educators, students, and members of the public to create an innovative environmental educational experience.

Welcome remarks were given by Dr. Ebun Akinsete, Principal Investigator of Sustainable Development Unit – ATHENA RC, Prof. Dr. Phoebe Koundouri, Principal Investigator of Resees, Research Laboratory AUEB, and Prof. Chrysi Laspidou, University of Thessaly ARSINOE Coordinator.

Attendees included teachers and students from the Athens Metropolitan Region, and they had the opportunity to use the ARSINOE VR tool and experience firsthand the potential futures resulting from different environmental protection and climate change mitigation paths. Akrivi Katifori and her team led the testing session. They facilitated focus group discussions to solicit feedback on this first version of the tool and inform its future development and refinement.
