ISSIDA-LL — Innovative Systems for Sustainable Development & Action Living Lab is an open innovation ecosystem, coordinated by the Athena Research Center and AE4RIA – Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Aephoria.
ISSIDA-LL supports data-driven sustainability, digital transformation, and systemic transitions towards green and inclusive growth. It works with businesses, SMEs, municipalities, public authorities, and other stakeholders to co-create practical, inclusive, and sustainable solutions.
The Living Lab provides services across the full innovation cycle, from ideation and prototyping to testing, piloting, and implementation. Its approach combines Design Thinking, the Systems Innovation Approach, and Living Lab Modeler tools, supported by interdisciplinary expertise in social sciences, environmental studies, engineering, and ICT.
ISSIDA-LL is an officially recognized Living Lab within the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) and operates under the Sustainable Development Unit SDU.AE4RIA of the Athena Research Center.
Its areas of work include climate action, circular economy, smart cities and regions, agri-food, water and blue economy, emerging technologies, social innovation, education, zero pollution, and decarbonization.
