Dr Ebun Akinsete is a Senior Researcher at the AE4RIA research network, affiliated with the Sustainable Development Unit of ATHENA RC and the ReSEES Lab of the Athens University of Business and Economics. She was an Associate Lecturer in the School of Applied Social Studies at Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen) and is a senior partner at the Nigeria-based consultancy GEN Sustainable Solutions. With a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology, an MSc in Project Management, and a PhD in Urban Regeneration and Sustainable Communities, he has several years of industrial and academic experience in Europe, Asia, and Africa, working with government agencies, NGOs, humanitarian organizations, academic institutions, private sector bodies, and local communities. Her main areas of interest are sustainable development, urban regeneration, SDG policy and implementation, community development, climate change mitigation and adaptation, stakeholder engagement, participatory planning, transition management, systems innovation, assessment, and impact assessment for sustainability and sustainable development in emerging economies. Dr Akinsete leads the Transformative and Participatory Approaches unit of the UN SDSN Global Climate Hub.
