Stenos Vasilis

Vasilis is the founder of Solmeyea. Solmeyea is a multiply awarded AgriBioTech startup, producing plant-based premium proteins for several food and non-food applications through vertical microalgae farming. Vasilis has 14 years international business experience with a strong focus on Management Consulting, Cost restructuring Projects, Construction Project Management and Agricultural & Environmental Engineering Research focusing on solving the feeding issue on Earth as it will arise due to overpopulation. During 2014-2018 Vasilis has been a Project Manager at Turner Construction Headquarters in NYC. Prior to this, he completed 1 year of PhD research at Columbia University with a focus on sustainable Food production against Overpopulation, 1.5 years in Management Consulting at Booz & Co. affiliate in Greece, Brussels & Africa, 3 years at Zulutrade FOREX trading firm and 4 years at Eurokatoikia Real Estate Holdings Firm. He also holds a BSc & MSc in Business Economics & Agricultural Engineering from the University of Athens with Distinction, an MSc in Earth & Environmental Engineering from Columbia University and a Business Certificate from Columbia Business School. He is fluent in English, Greek & German and has served as a Special Forces Parachutist in the Greek Army.
