Opening DOORS to the Black Sea: A Milestone for Sustainability & Innovation

On Thursday, 27th of March 2025, at the European Parliament in Brussels, we gathered policymakers, experts, and stakeholders to showcase the achievements of the H2020 DOORS Project—a pivotal initiative shaping the future of the Black Sea region.

Hosted by MEP Victor Negrescu and MEP Ștefan Mușoiu, this high-level event brought together leading voices from research, policy, and industry. The Athena Research Center team with Principal Investigator Prof. Dr. Phoebe Koundouri was represented by Ms. Lydia Papadaki. The project brings together expertise and technology from 37 institutions from the Black Sea region and other European countries to address the human and climate change impacts on damaged ecosystems.
