Phoebe Koundouri‘s Speech on Sustainable Development / Project Agora Junior Fellows – Andreas Papandreou Foundation (http://www.iap.gr). The speech took place at the amazing Laskarides Foundation Premises in Piraeus! (http://www.laskaridisfoundation.org/en/)
Background on the program: Building on our successful Young Leaders Project<http://www.youngleadersproject.org/> Initiative which runs again in the framework of our annual Symi Symposium in Rhodes on July 5-8, we are hosting for the first time a group of junior leaders from China with the goal to promote the ongoing dialogue of civilizations and instil a global ethos and awareness, while embracing inclusive leadership and innovation for social impact. Inspired by the Agora of ancient Athens, where politics, economics, social life and philosophy coexisted in synergy, we will be offering our participants a unique experience that will blend some of the insights and reflections of thinkers, policy makers and opinion leaders participating at our Symposium in Rhodes (July 1-5), with an experiential journey on Ancient Greek philosophy, history and culture that will take place in Athens and Piraeus right after the Symposium ends (July 6-11).
