On September 19, the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Leadership Council Meeting took place at Columbia University. This annual meeting provides strategic direction for the organization and its key programs.
During a panel discussion on key trends in mobilizing the network for climate and energy, Professor Koundouri emphasized the importance of adopting an integrated systems approach to help countries shape their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and decarbonization strategies. She highlighted the work of the SDSN Global Climate Hub, which is focused on developing national and international systems- integrated solution pathways toward climate neutrality and resilience. These solutions are embedded in socio-economic and financial systems and are supported by stakeholder co-design and participatory processes.
The meeting featured inspiring keynote addresses by Amina Mohammed, UN Deputy Secretary-General, and Professor Jeffrey Sachs, President of the SDSN.
