SUSTAINET Online Pre-Kickoff Meeting: A Step Toward Sustainable Economic Growth

SUSTAINET Online Pre Kickoff meeting on Thursday, March 20th kicked off our collaboration toward sustainable economic growth. It was also a chance to revisit the purpose of the project, and define the workpackages.

This Erasmus project deems capable of empowering local governance through creation of Green Business Innovation Hubs. Under the project coordination of our team at the Resees, Research Laboratory AUEB Athens University of Economics and Business, led by Prof. Dr. Phoebe Koundouri, partners from Greece, Bulgaria and Cyprus join forces for sustainable economic behaviour with the SUSTAINET project.

Project Objectives:

  • Support municipalities in transitioning to sustainable development and the circular economy.

  • Provide businesses with programs to develop green strategies.

  • Upgrade VET and higher education with new green skills.

  • Develop tools and resources to promote sustainable practices at the local level.

Expected Outcomes:

  • A sustainable development model for municipalities.

  • Self-assessment tools for local authorities.

  • Support programs for businesses to implement green strategies.

  • Educational programs to enhance green skills.

  • Establishment of a transnational network of GBICs.
