The European Conference of the Society for Benefit-Cost Analysis (SBCA) will take place in Athens, Greece , on 27–28 November 2025.

Hosted by the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and its Research Laboratory on Socio-Economic and Environmental Sustainability (ReSEES), under the scientific direction of Professor Phoebe Koundouri, the conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to examine how Benefit-Cost Analysis (BCA) can support the design and implementation of effective, sustainable, and equitable policies.

Call for Abstracts – Deadline: 11 September 2025  —> Submission link

We welcome submissions in the following formats:

  • Extended abstracts for research papers

  • Proposals for policy sessions and thematic panels

Key conference themes include:

  • Methodological innovations in BCA

  • Climate, environment, and energy policy

  • Health and social program analysis

  • Infrastructure and urban development

  • Governance and regulatory impact

  • Ethics, innovation, and digital transitions

Participants are encouraged to consider organizing a Policy Session, bringing together 3–4 related abstracts under a common theme, with the aim of connecting academic research to real-world decision-making.
