On 4th December, the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS), in collaboration with AE4RIA, hosted an insightful webinar titled “Measuring Sustainability” as part of the Science for Human Security program.
The webinar began with an introduction by Nebojsa Neskovic, Vice President of WAAS, who highlighted the launch of the Earth-Humanity Coalition in April 2024, , a collaboration co-founded by WAAS and UNESCO to advance global sustainability efforts.
Prof. Dr. Phoebe Koundouri, Trustee of WAAS; Director of AE4RIA, who moderated the session, provided a comprehensive overview of the challenges and opportunities in measuring sustainability across various scales. She emphasized the importance of accurate metrics to track progress, enhance accountability, and drive effective actions toward global sustainability.
