On Monday, 19th of May, we organised our second participatory workshop on the future of the Alonissos-Northern Sporades Marine Park, bringing together a dynamic group of stakeholders to co-create a vision and discuss socioeconomic insights.
We kicked off with a warm welcome over coffee, followed by insightful presentations from Dr. Conrad Landis and Ms. Lydia Papadaki (Athens University of Economics and Business) on the results of our first workshop and the ongoing socioeconomic analysis.
Participants engaged in three interactive exercises:
-
Validating key attributes and levels for the valuation study
-
Co-developing a shared vision for Alonissos
-
Discussing the current entrance fee system
Ms. Irini Afentouli also shared global examples of entrance fee systems in marine parks, sparking rich discussions on best practices and local relevance.
