On 20–21 May 2025, the University of Limassol hosted the official kick-off meeting of the SustaiNet Erasmus+ project, a strategic initiative aimed at empowering local governments and SMEs through the creation of a transnational Network of Green Business Innovation Centres (GBICs).
Project Coordination
Led by the Athens University of Economics and Business, RESEES Research Laboratory AUEB, and AE4RIA – Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Αephoria, under the scientific guidance of Prof. Dr. Phoebe Koundouri, SustaiNet Erasmus+ is co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme and brings together key partners from Greece, Cyprus, and Bulgaria. Prof. Koundouri delivered the opening speech, outlining the project’s objectives and collaborative vision.
Objectives of the Two-Day Meeting
The meeting marked the launch of a collaborative journey to:

Foster capacity-building and policy support tools

Encourage innovation through cross-border knowledge exchange
