As part of the Smart Attica EDIH initiative, Professor Phoebe Koundouri delivered the keynote address for the online training program, “Innovative Technologies for Sustainable Development: Energy and Environment”. The program focused on leveraging advanced #AI and #digitaltechnologies to optimize resource use and reduce environmental impacts, and was hosted by the National Documentation Center (EKT).
In her speech, Professor Koundouri presented the AE4RIA and Huawei report, Twin Skills for the Twin Transition: Defining Green Digital Skills and Jobs, which uses AI-driven methodologies to identify the skills and professions crucial for the Green and Digital Transformation under the European Green Deal. She also shared key insights from the SDSN Global Climate Hub report, Modeling Net Zero Pathways, launched at #COP28UAE. This report provides decarbonization pathways for energy for each country in the EU27, the UK, and the Balkans.
