On 13th December 2022, the UN SDSN Global Climate Hub and UNFCCC Climate Change Global Innovation Hub hosted the Post-COP27 Workshop at the premises of the prestigious Academy of Athens, in Greece.
In this workshop, the UN SDSN Global Climate Hub has announced that the 50 internationally renowned scientists affiliated with the Hub, will work on developing climate neutrality and climate resilience pathways for Europe, Asia, and Northern Africa, which will be presented during the next UN General Assembly 2023 (September) in New York. Moreover, the European pathways will be presented during the first European Union-wide voluntary review at the UN in July 2023.
A big number of politicians, academics, researchers, representatives from international institutions, presented at this hybrid event, which was attended by over 150 participants from all over the world, in person and virtually.
The Workshop was co-organized by the Academy of Athens, SDSN Europe, SDSN Greece , ReSEES Research Laboratory at Athens University of Economics and Business, Sustainable Development Unit & EIT Climate- KIC HUB Greece at Athena Research and Innovation Center, the International Centre for Research on the Environment and the Economy (ICRE8), the Alliance of Excellence for Research and Innovation on Αephoria | AE4RIA.
