On June 19th, the third participatory workshop was held under the theme:
“Vision Validation and Collaborative Development of Pricing Models and Action Plans.”
The workshop aimed to assess the effectiveness of the current entrance policy in Zone A of the Marine Park, co-develop fair and sustainable pricing models and co-develop an action plan aiming to put into practice the vision co-developed in the previous session.
Through interactive exercises and the guidance of Dr Theodore Daglis, participants contributed to designing entrance strategies and allocating revenues to benefit the local community. Ms Lydia Papadaki and Ms Eirini Afentouli also led the validation of the shared vision for the Park and the exercise on the action plan.
The active involvement of the local community once again highlighted the importance of participatory governance for the protection and sustainable development of the area.
