On June 13, the first talk of the year brainstormed new possibilities for humanity, focusing on AI research and methodologies to boost human security.

Prof. Phoebe Koundouri’s speech, titled “If you cannot measure it, you cannot manage it, you cannot improve it: The holistic, interdisciplinary and intradisciplinary way towards the sustainability transformation” highlighted the need for interdisciplinary collaboration to address modern challenges effectively. However, despite our knowledge and resources, there is a significant gap in implementing solutions due to a lack of necessary skills.
She highlighted the need for enhanced education, knowledge sharing, and skills development and shared our collaborative report with Huawei, which utilized AI-based methodologies to identify crucial skills and occupations necessary for implementing the Green and Digital Transformation outlined in the European Green Deal.
In addition, the 2024 Sustainable Development Report: The SDGs and the UN Summit of the Future, launched today, which I am thrilled to endorse with my signature, includes the SDG Index and Dashboards, provides the most up-to-date data to track and rank the performance of all UN Member States on the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs.
